FUTA is highly ranked in Nigeria, and that’s not surprising considering the social and intellectual statuses of many of her graduates.
As a current student however, my FUTA experience so far has been one of mixed feelings.
While there are lecturers who don’t care enough to explain their subjects thoroughly, there are some others like Doctor Afolabi in Mathematics, who encourage students asking questions, reiterating over and over, “your father paid for it”.
While there are technical courses where the lecturers only care about the theory and understanding for the students is inadequate, there are some others where lecturers (like Engineer Charles and Doctor Ibukun Olajide) go the extra mile to demonstrate and encourage real-world applications of those concepts.
My school isn’t perfect, but any one who genuinely desires to be a great success will have the support they require.
