University of Nigeria Nsukka is one of the prestigious school in Nigeria with a high standard of education. The lecturers are kind , while some are some annoying, always threatening to fail you. But I enjoyed my stay at the University as I got to meet a lot of people.
View moreUniversity of Nigeria Nsukka isn’t a perfect college but one of the things I love about my school is the academical dedication. What you get us what you’ve worked hard for, nothing more, nothing less. The school environment is really safe and there is hardly a report of violence in school. What I dislike is the lack of consideration for the welfare of the students most times. There have been cases of injustice and the school does nothing about it . They make decisions without caring about the welfare of their students
View moreThe UNN programs aren’t too horrible, but they do require a lot of time and dedication to complete. Despite this, they are fairly nice and quite helpful. The school’s lecturers are really helpful, eager to assist students, and highly and professionally trained. The accommodations are nice and quite roomy. Even while education is typically quite demanding, it is generally a really positive experience.
View moreOne experience I personally think everyone should have is attending The University of Nigeria, Nsukka. A prestigious University founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe. Friendly professors, a great learning environment and wonderful infrastructures. I am currently studying at The University of Nigeria Nsukka, and I know one of the things I really love is the fact that they give us so much room to learn, as a student majoring in Microbiology; it has been an enlightening experience to work in a laboratory. There is a vast number of academics all employed to make sure students have a fruitful learning experience.
One thing I really dislike though is the boys’ hostel. It is really crowded, not conducive and a threat to health. Most boys tend to live off the campus for this reason. One thing I really think they can improve on though is the amenities and infrastructure in the hostels. Another is the pressure the lecturers put on students to pass a course, it’s almost like you can feel them breathing down your neck to do well or drown; it has helped some people and broken some people.
Apart from this though, students have a lot of fun here at UNN, it’s the ideal University, as students have the freedom to do what they want; there are different clubs and different departments. The theatre arts students perform their plays, those are nights to look forward to; as these are live-stage performances. We also have students week, things like old school da, cultural day; where different cultures come to show their unique identity, dressing and food. I would highly recommend the University of Nigeria, as long as you are keen on learning; it’s a beautiful place to learn.
Regarding my career prospects, I have a great course advisor who not only makes sure our results are complete but informs us about scholarships available online. Seminars and conferences are organized monthly for students to familiarize themselves with their discipline. We are taught and spoken to about the prospects and opportunities in our courses. I recently found out that Microorganisms help in detecting petroleum in the soil. As a result, I look forward to doing Petroleum Microbiology and applying all I learned.
I would love for you to join me, as we have an amazing University experience.
