The completion of an Accounting & Finance degree comes along with numerous benefits. Students develop strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, which are highly demanded by employers in both the private and the public sector and result in graduates often finding employment in large multinational organizations that offer professional services such as PwC, KPMG and Deloitte. On top of that, established companies around the world offer excellent and well-structured graduate schemes, which help Accounting & Finance graduates to kick-start their careers.
Accounting & Finance degrees are mostly practically oriented. They allow students to put the knowledge and skills they acquire on a daily basis to practice through simulated and real-life business accounts management and work placement opportunities.
Most Accounting & Finance degrees are professionally accredited by professional bodies, such as ACCA, AIA, CIMA, ICAEW and CIPFA, which provides students with the opportunity to become chartered accountants. Students gain professional qualifications in accountancy, which eliminates the need for additional certifications after graduation.
Due to the nature of the Accounting & Finance Degree, which complements business-related subjects, students often have the opportunity to complete a joint honours degree.
An Accounting & Finance degree’s duration varies depending on the country and degree level. It is a very good university. It has two campus though my campus is the smallest but they still give their best. It has professional lecturers. There accomodation is ok, even the lecture halls. The school is trying in terms of security. I will recommend it.

View moreThe University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu is a really good federal university. The lecture halls are well ventilated for the students to feel comfortable. The hostel accommodation is quite okay but needs some renovation.
View moreI’m not going to fool you. UNN is a wonderful school, but it does have its pros and cons. My favorite is the freedom the university experience gives me, unlike a private college. Lecturers are fair enough, however, not great! Since UNN is located in the East, the environment is very cool, your perfect state for retirement. What I love the most is the thick skin UNN allows you to develop. Your stuff is going to get stolen a few times, your heart may even get snatched by a few playboys (I must warn you ahead of time). Overall, you are going to enjoy your University experience at UNN. You just have to learn to adapt and avoid complaining. Else, you’ll find yourself hating college before you even get through half of the first semester. Lol.
View moreI’m an undergraduate student in the Accountancy Department in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I’m in the class of 2023. I was encouraged to apply to this University in 2019 for my undergraduate studies because it’s one of the most remarkable universities in Nigeria and also the first University in my country. My school graduated a lot of past leaders that helped in the national building. Another thing I’ll recommend any newcomer to my school to visit first is its Library (Nnamdi Azikiwe Library) which was named after our first President in Nigeria. The library is so spacious and well ventilated as it assists in proper assimilation. Lecture sessions are really great because lecturers try to make lessons interactive by indulging us in presentations and quizzes before or after the lessons. Lest I forget, the school environs are nice too and so airy. Accommodation provided by the school has very close proximity to classrooms and lecture halls, so even if you are running late, you still have hope of catching up soon. There’s no perfection, but I feel like my school can do better in reducing the amounts of their new intake during freshman year so as to reduce the congestion of classrooms.
