It feels more like a moderately priced private university due to the quality of its facilities and teaching, and I would recommend it to students who value a focused learning environment.

However, the accommodation is a major drawback. Hostel living conditions need significant improvement, and because staying on campus is compulsory, students don’t really have alternatives. Edo State University offers a conducive campus environment, and the lecturers are dedicated and teach effectively. The only downside is that undergraduate students are not allowed to live off-campus. However, postgraduate students have the freedom to stay outside campus.
