Studying International Relations and Strategic Studies at Novena University, Delta State, Nigeria has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. The program doesn’t just focus on abstract theories it constantly pushes you to connect ideas to real-world issues like diplomacy, conflict resolution, human rights, and global security. This makes it easy to confidently discuss international affairs beyond the classroom, which is a huge advantage when preparing for a career in diplomacy, NGOs, or international organizations.

One of the biggest strengths of the program is how it builds critical thinking and communication skills. Lecturers encourage debates, research presentations, and group work, which helps students grow into professionals who can analyze, argue, and present solutions to global challenges. The environment is diverse and collaborative; you get to meet people from different backgrounds, which makes discussions even richer.
