If you’re an outsider planning to study at Unical, please be more studious than your contemporary from Cross River, be Street smart and be bold in taking risk, it has one of the best medical colleges

Actually, University of Calabar is a fantastic experience, in respect to social life, and ethics. Although there is plenty that can be done to improve facilities and the learning process. The majority of students struggle to complete their programs successfully and deal with challenges including academic strikes, rising tuition fees, unfair grading practices, etc.

UNICAL is one of the most difficult schools to study in. It’s almost as if the lecturers go out of their way to frustrate students. There are more lecturer offices than lecture halls.
Due to a lack of venues, students are crammed into lecture halls during class.

We have few practical equipments, we pay practical dues every semester, but we don’t see any new practical equipment.

It’s a good course, some lecturers were great, others not so. It would have been better if practicals were taken more seriously and career opportunities laid out. It was bearable cause I met good folks alongside, I’ll never recommend it to a friend though cause after graduation, the opportunities are limited in Nigeria.
