The University of Calabar offers a mixed bag of experiences. Students often praise the *dedicated lecturers* and *relevant course content*, especially in fields like Educational Psychology, which blends theory with practical insights⁽¹⁾. However, many also highlight challenges such as *slow administrative processes*, *limited facilities*, and occasional frustrations with bureaucracy⁽²⁾. Despite the hurdles, the environment encourages discipline and personal growth, making it a place where resilience is key.

My dislike about the university is regarding the fact of hostel accommodation. It’s always so difficult to get accommodation once a yr is over.
My like is the fact of teaching. I can’t lie our lecturers are made intelligently

To begin with, a lot of activities happens in the school, more of which focus less on the academic intelligence of the students. As a result of this, we have less students participating in non-academic activities

University of Calabar is ranked among the top schools in Nigeria with regards to their medical/ healthcare courses and I can it’s rightly so. Though like every other institution, there is always room for improvement
