    Montenegrin language and literature

I am really happy with my degree and I have the best experience studying at this university. My department is in Cetinje and it’s an additional good point since Cetinje is Montenegrin royal capital with a lot of national history. If you want an authentic experience and learn Montenegrin language as well as experience it every step of the way, i would definitely recommend you come.

Faculty of Philology:Academic department in Nikšić

I believe that the University of Montenegro still has considerable potential for growth and improvement. I studied Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Nikšić, where I had the privilege of learning from several dedicated and knowledgeable professors. Nevertheless, I found that the program’s structure and curriculum did not entirely meet my expectations. In particular, I was disappointed that we did not have courses conducted entirely in Italian and that, at the time, there were limited opportunities for Erasmus exchange programs. I completed my Bachelor’s degree there in 2017.

Marketing course in university of montenegro

    What I Like:

Comprehensive Curriculum: The Marketing and Management courses offer a well-rounded curriculum, covering everything from the fundamentals of marketing to advanced management strategies. I appreciate how the course content is designed to give students both theoretical knowledge and practical insights into real-world business challenges.
Engaging Professors: Many of the professors are highly knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects they teach. Their real-world experience and expertise in both marketing and management add value to the lectures, making them not only educational but also highly engaging. The professors often encourage class discussions, which helps deepen our understanding of the topics.
Focus on Case Studies: The program uses numerous case studies, which I find very beneficial for learning. These case studies allow us to apply theoretical concepts to actual business scenarios, providing valuable insights into how businesses make marketing and management decisions.
Practical Skills Development: The courses provide opportunities to develop practical skills, especially through group projects and assignments. This hands-on experience, such as market analysis or creating business plans, prepares students well for the professional world.
Networking Opportunities: The university often hosts guest lectures and networking events where students can interact with professionals in the marketing and management fields. These opportunities are great for making connections and gaining insights from experienced professionals.
    What I Dislike:

Limited Focus on Modern Tools and Technologies: While the course content is generally solid, there is often a gap when it comes to covering the latest digital marketing tools and technologies, such as social media analytics or automation platforms. A more contemporary approach to digital marketing would better equip students for the current job market.
Large Class Sizes: The class sizes can be quite large, especially in core courses like Marketing Management and Organizational Behavior. This sometimes makes it difficult to have personalized interaction with professors, and it’s harder to get direct feedback on assignments or discussions.
Lack of Practical Internships or Work Placement Opportunities: While there are a few opportunities for practical learning, I feel that the program could benefit from a stronger focus on internships or work placements. Having more real-world work experience integrated into the curriculum would help students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Pace of Learning: Some courses move at a fast pace, especially in areas like Strategic Management or Consumer Behavior. While I appreciate being challenged, I sometimes feel that not enough time is given to fully absorb and apply complex concepts before moving on to new topics.
Limited Specialization Options: While the general marketing and management courses are strong, I would like to see more options for specialization in areas such as digital marketing, international marketing, or entrepreneurship. More electives in these areas would allow students to tailor their education to specific career goals.
    Conclusion:
Overall, I find the Marketing and Management courses at the University of Montenegro’s Faculty of Economics to be valuable, with a strong foundation in both theory and practice. The professors are engaging, and the curriculum offers a solid understanding of key business concepts. However, there is room for improvement, especially in terms of incorporating more modern marketing tools, offering more practical experiences, and providing specialized courses to better prepare students for specific career paths.

Great theoretical knowledge, but lack of practical

I study at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Montenegro. The most positive thing is that you are always in tune with international politics and international affairs. There is a strong emphasis in learning about world history so you can better understand the events that are happening today. The theoretical knowledge you get here is really great, but what I don’t like is that there is no practical experience, unless you try to gain it on your own, regardless of the University.

Making the best out of what you've got

The statement in the title is perhaps the best way to describe the University of Montenegro’s Electrical Engineering course. Despite many of the labs being rather old and with limited equipment, this course offers a comprehensive look at electrical engineering, with many branches being available for students to choose from: electronics, telecommunications, power engineering and control engineering. The university has recently upgraded its amphitheatres which makes the lectures more enjoyable, and I hope the push for modernization will lead them to upgrade the labs soon. Most of the professors are really good and open for communication, especially in the third year of studies and above. The goals and requirements for each subject are well defined for the most part and textbooks are well-written bar some exceptions. I didn’t use the dorms so I can’t comment on the accommodation too much but from what I’ve seen the quality of it varies a lot. The EE course is free so it’s great value and it also offers great career prospects in Montenegro, as well as internationally.
