Being a Nigerian student at Middlesex University Mauritius, I have encountered some challenges and stereotypes during my time here. One issue is the perception that Nigerians are involved in fraudulent activities, which can lead to discrimination and mistrust from some individuals. Despite these challenges, I have found support from the university community and have been able to connect with other international students who share similar experiences. The university’s diversity and inclusion initiatives have helped create a welcoming environment where I feel valued and respected.
