Rigid Rules
IIUM stands out for its strong sense of community. The professors are approachable, and many go beyond their duties to support students academically and personally. The university fosters a disciplined environment, which is great for self-development. However, the rules can sometimes feel overly restrictive. The dress code and curfew policies, for instance, may feel limiting to some students who come from more liberal backgrounds. The academic workload is manageable, and the integration of Islamic teachings into various subjects adds a unique perspective. While IIUM provides great opportunities for spiritual growth, it should consider a more flexible approach to accommodate its diverse student body.
