Specialized Seminars: Three-day entrepreneurship/incubation seminars provided hands-on learning about business models and customer development
Research Opportunities: Sustainable entrepreneurship research sessions enhanced analytical thinking
Supportive Faculty: Professors genuinely invested in student success

Areas for Improvement:

Limited industry partnerships for internships
Could use more modern digital marketing components
Alumni network could be stronger for mentorship opportunities
Some facilities need updating

Career Impact:
The program prepared me exceptionally well for diverse roles – from government administration to private sector management. The entrepreneurial mindset and business fundamentals have been invaluable across different career paths.
Would I Recommend? Absolutely, especially for students who want solid business foundations with entrepreneurial thinking.

I had an enriching experience at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship. The program offered a solid blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, which prepared me well for the business world. The faculty were approachable and invested in the success of their students, often providing mentorship and guidance beyond the classroom.

What stood out for me was the university’s emphasis on innovation and research, which pushed us to think creatively and come up with solutions to real-world problems. Additionally, the campus itself is well-equipped, with modern facilities that aid both academic and personal growth.

However, there were some challenges, such as the occasional delay in administrative processes, which could be improved for better efficiency. Despite that, I would highly recommend JKUAT for anyone looking to gain a solid foundation in entrepreneurship or any other business-related field. The skills I acquired have been invaluable in my professional journey.

I joined JKUAT a few years ago with educational learning, a positive attitude and a high spirit. Right from my first days at the university where I was confused, I can say with the help of the staff, teachers and even continuing students at the institution my confused days simply turned into an amazing and insightful experience where they held my hand in different ways and made my learning experience easy and enjoyable. JKUAT is regarded as international with the presence of students, staff and unions from other nationals like the Pan- African University Fraternity and PAUSTI. The institution is quick to respond in case of any problem faced.
