Units provides great teaching in mechanical engineering field, offering important theorical basis at the bachelor degree and focusing on many practical designing activity in the master. It is a demaning path but if you have strong passion and dedication you will be satisfied.
In coronavirus time most of the lessons move on-line on MS Teams, keeping good academical quality, by the way some laboratory activity are planned to be organised live.

I think students will have a very strong preparation, teachers are prepared and almost always available to meet you to answer your question.
There are career days and other possibilities to get in touch with companies, professors will help you in working research.
The University has good international connections, although talking about the Erasmus project in the engineering department is not always easy to find some coherent courses in the foreign university, even because our corses can be quite specific and full of technical contents.

It trains you to the world of work. Very intercultural environment. Very qualified teachers. Lots of possibilities to talk with ex-students that currently work in important companies. The course is very hard, but useful.

The University of Trieste is an institution of medium dimensions in the North of Italy, on the seaside. It offers a great variety of courses and specialisations. It is highly specialised in the scientific area (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry) but it hosts high quality courses on Humanities, Law, Diplomacy and Letters. Many possibilities to take exchange programs and internships in Italy and abroad are offered. Scholarships are available and fees are not elevated since it is a public institution. Professors are prepared, the secretariat is always ready to meet students’ requests and the administration is reliable. I would highly recommend it to students who desire to invest on studying but also on developing their person skills, increasing their culture and taking part in the numerous academic activities proposed.

I would cerainly recommand the Trieste university. It offers a student a lot of knowledge and it makes a nice studying environment. Professors are mostly helpful and distinguish what is important from what is not.
Moreover, it offers planty of international exchanges.

Beside the well know universities of Italy, Trieste has shown in the last decade a high standard in the quality of education and research becoming a center of excellence for many disciplines (Biology, Engineering and Physics among other).
The high rate of employment at 3 years after graduation together with a relatively low cost of life (compared to Rome or Milan) have a strong appeal between the students.
Some cons, the average age of the professors is very high (as many universities in Italy because of the lock of the turnover) and this poses a challenge on the future of this university.
