For civil engineering the exam program is very broad, comprehensive, although it flaws in the approach with practice. The main problem is that even in the final two years the first year is based on knowledge in all fields and not in the area of interest. Professors in general are very good and the topics covered are interesting.
View moreThe campus is a little bit outside Rome in a place called Rieti.
It’s a good course with a prospective future as more buildings are gonna be built with sustainability in mind and not to hurt the ecosystem.
Good program and a good university in a wonderful city. Like all Italian public universities have a lot of difficult, classes with a lot of students in the first years, bureaucratism and the teacher don’t answer the question every time.
View moreThe department of my course is in a city called Rieti about 80 km far from Rome. So I had to study online for the first year because of the covid19 pandemic. For the 3rd semester, classes should be held in the presence, but unfortunately, our department decided to move the university to a newer location and they have not prepared it yet and again they are giving us excuses so they made the 3rd semester online for us. It’s funny we do not have a single place even for the classes let alone to other facilities that students have on the Rome campus. Online studying is even harder than in presence classes. I do not recommend this course to anyone. If you want to study in Sapienza just try to pick up courses which are held on the main campus, not in small cities. I contact the dean of my department, even emailed the authorities of the main campus nobody replied back to me.
View moreSapienza university has professors with sufficient quality which makes students learn better. There are oral exams which have more than one call and you can try your chance to get a better mark more than once.
There are some technical visits which makes you more familiar with real jobs.
There’s a good connection between this university and European companies that rise your chance to work in other countries as well.
As a negative point I have to say that it’s somehow disorganised as Italy itself.
To sum up, I recommend this university in this beautiful country (Italy). It’s worth it, very beautiful experience.
The lecture is not only from the professors who are great but also from many distinguished professionals in the field. The university provides the students with a wide range of options in terms of non-academic activity.
