My experience at Ben-Gurion University has been very positive overall. The academic support is excellent — professors are approachable and genuinely patient with students like me coming from another side of the world. The course structure balances theory and practical skills, and there are plenty of opportunities for research or internships through the careers office.
The student community is unlike what you will ever experience, which makes campus life vibrant and inclusive. There are over 200 societies to join, and events are held almost every week to keep you motivated.
The only downside is the small language barrier at the farmer’s market where things are cheaper, but I always to with my Arabic friend and it’s becomes an even more fun experience.
I’d recommend Ben-Gurion to students who want to experience a strong academic environment combined with an active social life surrounded by intriguing culture.
