need for reform

As a undergraduate student in foreign languages, I have a nuanced view of the University of Tehran. While the academic rigor is commendable, I often feel stifled by the lack of freedom in discussing critical issues. The ongoing protests on campus reflect broader societal frustrations, and it’s concerning to see how these issues affect student morale. The administration seems hesitant to engage with students openly, which hampers our ability to voice our opinions. The library resources are extensive, and the chance to engage in research projects is invaluable. Still, I wish there were more forums for open dialogue about current affairs, especially concerning political repression. Some of my peers have been involved in activism, and their courage inspires me, yet it also raises concerns about personal safety. while the university has potential, significant reforms are needed to create a more supportive and open academic environment.
