I completed both my undergraduate and master’s degrees at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. My bachelor’s degree was in Food Technology (2015-2019), followed by a master’s degree in International Relations focusing on Digital Transformation and Competitiveness (2022-2024).
UGM is known for its strong academic reputation and vibrant campus life. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and supportive, often encouraging students to engage in research and practical experiences. The campus itself is well-equipped, offering access to various academic resources and modern facilities that enhance the learning process.
One of the university’s strengths is its interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to collaborate across departments and gain broader perspectives on their studies. I particularly appreciated the research opportunities and connections with the industry that were made available during my master’s studies.
If I were to suggest improvements, I would recommend streamlining administrative processes and enhancing the use of digital platforms to make course registration and academic tracking more efficient. Additionally, providing more scholarships for international exchange programs would be beneficial for students seeking a global perspective.
Overall, UGM offers a well-rounded and academically enriching experience, making it an excellent choice for students pursuing higher education in Indonesia.
