Studying at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) has been an enriching and transformative journey. As an International Relations student, I had the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in global politics, diplomacy, and international law. The curriculum is well-structured, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications through case studies, simulations, and research projects.
One of the highlights of my experience at UPNVY was the supportive academic environment. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and always encourage students to think critically and engage in discussions. They provide valuable insights, not only from an academic perspective but also from real-world experiences in diplomacy, governance, and international organizations.
Beyond academics, UPNVY offers a vibrant student life with numerous organizations and extracurricular activities. I actively participated in student-led initiatives, such as the International Community and Interdisciplinary Scientific Research (ISR), where I took on leadership roles. These experiences allowed me to enhance my skills in stakeholder engagement, public relations, and event management, while also expanding my network with professionals from various industries.
Moreover, UPNVY emphasizes the importance of research and innovation. As part of my academic journey, I had the chance to conduct research on global issues, participate in national competitions, and contribute to scholarly discussions through publications and conferences. This not only strengthened my analytical and research skills but also prepared me for a dynamic career in international relations.
Overall, my time at UPNVY has been instrumental in shaping my personal and professional growth. The university fosters a culture of discipline, integrity, and innovation, which aligns with its vision as a “Bela Negara” campus. I am grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and connections I have gained throughout my studies, and I am confident that they will serve as a strong foundation for my future endeavors.

Although some of the facilities are not very great, they have limitations since they are currently having a renovation. The campus life is very comfortable; we share friends from different places, making our stories more interesting.

They offer many extracurriculars and organizations so we can focus on many exciting things. The professors here are also fun, although some of them can be a little difficult, but I guess that’s pretty usual. For my major it self, they offers very diverse studies, which helps me to look around and learn what is my interest.
