Diponegoro University (UNDIP) is one of the prominent public universities in Indonesia, located in Semarang, Central Java. Established in 1956, UNDIP has played a significant role in producing skilled professionals and intellectuals in various fields. While UNDIP has numerous strengths, there are also several challenges that need to be addressed for the university to remain competitive both nationally and internationally.
But there’s some critical area that needs improvement such as alignment between the curriculum and industry needs. While many of UNDIP’s graduates are academically competent, some have expressed concerns about the gap between theoretical knowledge gained at the university and the practical skills needed in the workforce. Strengthening partnerships with the industry could offer students more real-world experience through internships, joint projects, and collaborative research, thus enhancing the employability of UNDIP graduates.
