During my four semesters at Universitas Terbuka studying online from home, I have found it very helpful to pursue my education at a relatively affordable cost, with a learning process made easy by the facilities provided. This campus does not look at age or background; anyone can study and earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree here without having to come to the campus.
Although it certainly is not easy because I have to rely on myself to find information and deepen my knowledge independently, that doesn’t make me give up. People may underestimate this campus, but believe it or not, it all comes down to the individual. It is true that online college is not entirely pleasant, especially with the UT system where the course duration is only about two and a half months and the exam system still uses multiple-choice questions. Despite these shortcomings, UT still provides many benefits that can be gathered, from the smallest details to the most significant ones.

For me, the Open University is easy to understand in online activities, but there are still some shortcomings in it, including a tutor must be more approachable for students to be more active in learning. Studying here is very easy while working and really needs to be maximized for all groups who still love education. Despite many obstacles, including tuition fees to be more affordable to all groups and more supportive of equality in Indonesia and abroad
View moreThis course is ideal for workers who struggle to manage their time to pursue higher education and makes it easier for lower-middle class students to afford their education. Many innovations are currently underway, keeping pace with the development and advancement of information technology, allowing students of all ages to easily choose learning activities, not just lectures but also courses available to all Open University students.
View moreI’m currently enrolled in the Management undergraduate program at Universitas Terbuka. Overall, I would say it’s a good choice for those who need flexibility, especially working professionals. The distance learning system allows me to study at my own pace, and the materials are accessible in print, digital format, and through online tutorials.
Some tutors are very responsive and helpful, though the level of support can vary. Since most of the learning is self-directed, it definitely requires strong time management and self-motivation. Student interaction is quite limited, so I joined external study groups to stay connected and motivated.
This program has helped me build a solid understanding of management while continuing to work full-time. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re independent and disciplined, it’s a very practical option.
View moreI would be glad to say that Open University is one of the best choice that i have ever made in my life because it helps me to learn something new, and also it has flexible time for the students who have to work while they are able to study.
what i like is the tuition fee of Open University affordable, then i can go to University that i come from low class.
what i do not like is almost nothing because during my learning i do not ever get trouble, but one thing which i have to notice is the way we take an exam still bad which we use paper, i think it would be better if we used the computer.
In addition, Open University can be recommended for who want to learn while working since Open University has flexible time to do two things at the same time.
