My experience in the B.Tech programme at the University of Kashmir was overall positive, especially in terms of academic depth and the solid foundation it provided. The curriculum is well-structured and covers essential engineering principles while also allowing space for skill development. Many professors are knowledgeable and supportive, and their focus on conceptual understanding helped me develop strong technical skills.
What I particularly appreciated was the campus environment — it’s peaceful, scenic, and conducive to focused study. The university library and lab facilities were valuable resources, and hands-on practical sessions added real value to the learning experience.
However, there are areas where the programme could improve. Administrative processes can sometimes be slow, and the infrastructure, especially in some departments, would benefit from modernization. More industry exposure, workshops, and placement support would also significantly enhance student preparedness.
Overall, I would recommend the University of Kashmir for students who are self-motivated, academically driven, and looking for a strong theoretical foundation in engineering. With a bit more focus on industry alignment, the B.Tech programme has the potential to be outstanding
