I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Savitribai Phule Pune University. Overall, my experience was very positive. The curriculum provided a strong foundation in programming, machine learning, data science, and related technologies. Along with the university, the Pune city too taught me a lot about real-time experiences, hardships, and human relationships. There’s a charm to this magical city that not only makes you efficient academically, but also gives a much broader perspective on many things. All the professors were kind-hearted and understanding. The hype around the reputation of Pune university being ‘good’ stands absolutely true. A plethora of companies visit the campus every year to pick the best of the minds. The amazing hostel life experience is etched in memory for life. In addition to good education, if someone also wants an exciting life experience then, hands down ‘Pune university’ is a no-brainer.

As an alumnus of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), I hold a mixed yet respectful opinion about the institution. I genuinely appreciate the university’s wide academic structure, experienced faculty, and the exposure it provides through its diverse student community. The curriculum laid a solid foundation for my professional journey, especially in the field of animation and design.

However, like many large public universities, SPPU has its challenges—administrative delays and inconsistent communication can sometimes affect the academic experience. Despite these hurdles, I believe the learning largely depends on the individual’s initiative. Personally, I made the most of the resources available and focused on skill-building alongside academics.
