at Mumbai University

My experience at Mumbai University was mixed, leaning towards the challenging side, which is why I would give it a two-star rating. While the university has a long-standing reputation and offers a wide variety of courses, there are several areas where it falls short.

One of the main issues I encountered was the inefficiency of the administrative system. Processes like registration, exam scheduling, and obtaining necessary documents often involved long wait times and a lack of clear communication. This created unnecessary stress for students and detracted from the overall educational experience.

The academic curriculum, though well-established, could benefit from modernization. There was often a gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application, which became evident when comparing my experience there to international academic standards, especially after completing Columbia University’s Academic Advising program. More focus on career readiness, practical skills, and updated teaching methodologies would greatly benefit students.

On the positive side, Mumbai University offers a diverse student body and access to a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. However, to truly meet the needs of today’s students, significant improvements in infrastructure, administrative processes, and academic delivery are necessary.
