I really like student life at ELTE. I study in the Social Science campus and there are always events, mentoring programs and something to do between classes. The professors are also well-prepared. I wish they open the library, it’s under renovations for over 6 months by now…
View moreELTE is an outstanding Hungarian university. Great infrastructure, supportive staff and professors. The International Relations major is well-structured and provides a comprehensive understanding of global politics, diplomacy, and economics. The university also fosters a diverse and inclusive environment, with a vibrant international community that enriches the student experience. Overall, ELTE offers an excellent academic experience
View moreSome excellent classes while some poor classes,
the facilities are not always good, but look classical.
Diverse students there.
The staff at the International office is responsive, while the staff in charge of academic staff is very late-responding person.
I overall find it to be a good university. Lot of qualified teachers, who know and care a lot about their area of studies. I like the diversity in my classes, being able to form my knowledge based on multiple world views coming from multiple continents and regions. What i would highlight as a disadvantage is after the first few months the cliques are formed and not too open. Another negativity is the lack of common programmes by the uni, which basically consists of events in boring and overpriced bars.
View moreUniversity has a strong program foundation with flexibility to explore different fields of interest. Although, course registration can be limited and career opportunities are lacking. Teaching quality is good but sometimes can be better. Overall, I would recommend it for a BA degree.
View moreI love the diversity of my course, and that there are lots of international students and professors. However, some of the lecturers really lack the adequate language skills, and this is unacceptable as all students must pay a language fee every semester. Properly speaking teachers would be great.
View moreElte is really rich in programmes and also it provides students with many after-class activities, such as sports, scientific researches and community-creating events. I am participating on an english course, and overall, most professors have perfect english speaking ability, but there are some who could improve themselves at this field. The exams and other mandatory tasks, such as essays or presentations are very student-friendly, they usually require creativity, and dedication, and also an absolutely bearable amount of time of studying. My one critique would be the lack advertising of social events. Usually students who live in dorms or in Budapest are the ones who know about these events, but the university organizations do not really advertising them.
View moreELTE is the biggest Hungarian university, with many faculties. This makes studying more interesting and broadens my interest . I’m studying IR but I’m interested also in Spanish and History so ELTE makes it possible to take subjects in Spanish in different faculties.
View moreI like the teachers that clearly outline their programs, and have their materials uploaded at the beginning. The school sometimes can take a long time to reply to emails, but the wide range of student clubs and opportunities is great. I would like to see more research opportunities for students, and more teachers that have relevant course structures (non reused slides, modern textbooks, etc)
View moreELTE is a great university, internationally known and respected. The programs and professors are knowledgeable and relevant in all the topics there are to discuss. Budapest and the campus are vibrant and friendly to all people who are interested in joining the community. If there was one thing to improve it would be the common spaces, the campus is up to date and clean but it has a lack of seating places to make the experience even more enjoyable.
