STEP 1: APPLICATION

STEP 2: ENTRY EXAM

After receiving their application and checking their eligibility, the Admissions team will invite the candidates to take a 2-step entry exam:

• Online test: General and hospitality knowledge, English &/or French, Personality test for Bachelor and MBA candidates + an essay (1 or 2 pages for MBA candidates)
• An online interview by Zoom in English or French, depending on the language (30 minutes for Bachelor candidates  / 45 minutes for MBA candidates)

The Admissions team will inform the candidates of their decision within 48 to 72 hours after completion of the Entry Exam and send the enrollment process documents in case of acceptance.

STEP 3: REGISTRATION

Pay the full amount of the tuition fees of the 1st year before June 30th, 2026 (recommended for Visa purposes).

Candidates are highly encouraged to apply early as the application deadline is on May 31st, 2026.

For the Bachelor’s program in International Hospitality Management, you need:

• High School Diploma / High School Leaving certificate
• To study in English: Equivalent to IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, TOEIC 745 points, Cambridge B2 First FCE 160 points
• To study in French: Equivalent to CEFR B2: DELF / TCF B2 (minimum)

For the MBA program in International Hospitality Management, you need:

• Direct entry: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Tourism Management or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Hospitality with 6 months work experience in hotels or restaurants
• Depending on your profile, you will need to register to the Foundation Year before starting the MBA
• To study in English: Equivalent to IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90, TOEIC 835 points, Cambridge C1 First FCE 180 points
• To study in French: Equivalent to CEFR B2: DELF / TCF B2 (minimum) DALF C1 (recommended)

For the Foundation Year to prepare for the MBA, you need:

No, French is not required to join a Vatel program in Bordeaux. All academic courses are offered in English, and students can choose to study in either English or French. While knowledge of French can be helpful for daily life in France, it is not necessary to successfully complete the program.

While French is not required to secure an internship, it can significantly broaden the range of available opportunities. Understanding French can greatly enhance both internship placement and the overall professional experience.
