Université Paris-Sud (reviews)

My class was the first year they implemented an international class in Biology with a new approach to teaching. Instead of the traditional way – learning everything by heart, in my class, it was a proactive way where students took charge in doing different activities: mini research, project, presentation, lots of practical classes, and internships each year. Everything taught in English and rotation between different campuses (at the time Paris Sud was being merged with another school to form Paris Saclay)

Class: Interesting with a new style of teaching
Professors: Mostly friendly and very helpful and supportive
Student: Very nice and talented
Uni: The campus was big with lots of programs to assist students, especially international students. Most staffs were friendly and supportive

I studied computer engineering at this university, and the program was overall great.

I believe they keep up to date on software and computer science topics. Even though I was there a couple years ago.

A friend of mine is also currently there, and he seems to be happy so far.

Nice University. I studied law there and meet some nice people. The professors are great and the campus is not bad. It’s not far from Paris. The location is also nice too. I learned some interesting things.

I have studied in this university for one year now.
I really love this place, first of all, I think that the campus is amazing, it is really huge and green with a great spot for work or chill with some friends.
I was studying physics and mathematics, most of my courses were amazing, and my schedule was really well-done. Moreover, most of the teachers are doctors, they really know their topic and they are passioned about it, which inspires you. But some of the teachers actually don’t pay any attention to students and don’t really care about them, that is one of the bad points for me.
Also, there are not so many associations, and it is not so easy to get in touch with them. I know a lot of people who are in this university for more than a year and don’t have any friends in it. To me, that is really unfortunate, indeed I think that the uni could get more involved in student life.
To conclude I would say that Paris Sud is a great university which offers a high academic study, but if you are not a very social person you will feel very lonely out there.
