I studied computer engineering at this university, and the program was overall great.
I believe they keep up to date on software and computer science topics. Even though I was there a couple years ago.
A friend of mine is also currently there, and he seems to be happy so far.
View moreNice University. I studied law there and meet some nice people. The professors are great and the campus is not bad. It’s not far from Paris. The location is also nice too. I learned some interesting things.
View moreI have studied in this university for one year now.
I really love this place, first of all, I think that the campus is amazing, it is really huge and green with a great spot for work or chill with some friends.
I was studying physics and mathematics, most of my courses were amazing, and my schedule was really well-done. Moreover, most of the teachers are doctors, they really know their topic and they are passioned about it, which inspires you. But some of the teachers actually don’t pay any attention to students and don’t really care about them, that is one of the bad points for me.
Also, there are not so many associations, and it is not so easy to get in touch with them. I know a lot of people who are in this university for more than a year and don’t have any friends in it. To me, that is really unfortunate, indeed I think that the uni could get more involved in student life.
To conclude I would say that Paris Sud is a great university which offers a high academic study, but if you are not a very social person you will feel very lonely out there.
Paris Sud 11 is an overall good university , taking into account its educational programs , professors and adminstative staff , im currently enrolled as a PhD student and as any other PhD program certain credits are required these can be taken from confirences or courses however all of the courses are in french and there is no solo french course for credits some english courses do exist however they are not in proximity to orsay campus , never the less spanish courses are available…
View moreThe program I had attended for master was international ERUSMUS physical chemistry, We were obliged to move at least to one more country between France, Portugal, Italy and Poland. Personally I chose France for first semester and then moved to Porto for second one and the last year of my studies, I had stayed in France.
I would like to start from first semester in France in universite Paris Sud. Despite the fact a lot f courses should have covered during 6 month which make it exhausting and stressful, the whole semester make huge difference in knowledge in my case. However, having so much exams just in 3 days made it so hard to be focused and show all your potential in exams. A lot of topics has been covered and knowing I didn’t have background in most of them, for me it was unique opportunity to learn and improve my knowledge in chemistry just in 6 month.
The year after that when I came back to Paris again, it wasn’t so hard to adopt myself with educational system and pressure was much lower as we knew how to deal with it. Still there were a lot to learn about specificity of radiation.
One of the most important thing in our program was focusing not only on scientific topics but also complementary topics such as patent law which is necessary to know as a future scientist.
I experienced alot during these two years, I met people from all around the world, get to know different cultures and found lifetime friends. Without doubt I couldn’t come this far without attending this program so if someone ask me whether come to this program or not I would recommend it.
View moreIt’s quite difficult to give an opinion about the university in general as I have experiences so little. My M2 programme was divided between several Saclay institutions and Paris Sud was one of them. This master programme is the best academic experience I’ve had up to the moment allowing a student choose the desired specialization through picking up a coctail of courses he or she likes. I chose 4 game theoretical courses and was delighted by professors’ level and qualification. Happy to continue with a PhD in this subject
View moreFor me U-Psud is best for its professors. All the professors (at least in physical chemistry department) are passioned professionals you can get inspired from. The courses are well organised, the programs are very intense and very exciting as well. The only weakness of the university is its old campus and residence halls. But they are building a new campus, so it will not be a problem in close future.
View moreI particularly like the studies I do, but I think that the faculty of South Paris is not the best to go in economics: access is difficult, professors not always listening and not really invested.
