Studying Accounting at the Université de Strasbourg has been a greatly rich experience for me …not just academically, but personally also. The program dives deep into the logic behind finance and reporting, while also encouraging you to see how accounting connects to global economics and decision-making. The professors train you to think critically rather than just memorize figures, and the international vibe of Strasbourg adds a unique perspective to the learning. It’s a place where numbers start to feel alive, with meaning beyond the spreadsheets.

What I appreciate most about the university is its vibrant international environment. There’s a large community of students from abroad, and they’re generally warm, welcoming, and easy to connect with. The campus also offers a variety of activities, including some tailored specifically for female students.

Academically, the standard is solid, though there are occasional moments when certain lecturers seem less engaged, which means you sometimes have to put in extra effort to follow along. Overall, studying at the University of Strasbourg, in such a beautiful city, is a rewarding experience.

The first year feels quite broad and introductory, with subjects that aren’t always the most exciting, but by the second semester you start diving into the core topics, which makes it much more engaging. A basic understanding of mathematics is definitely helpful at the start.

In terms of facilities, the library is stunning — a favorite among students in Lunistra — but the lecture hall chairs aren’t very comfortable, and the rooms can get chilly, so it’s wise to bring a coat.

The university is well-structured, and the student facilities are of high quality, particularly the libraries. My campus is located a bit far from the main Cronenburg campus, but it offers all the essential services—except for a dedicated study room, which means we often have to travel to the central campus after classes.

Overall, my academic experience is positive. There’s good communication between professors and students, though I sometimes find it challenging to stay fully focused during uninterrupted two-hour lectures; a short break midway would be helpful. In my field of study, physics, I occasionally feel that the lessons could go deeper in content, with more knowledge shared during class.

The programme offers the opportunity to study in at least two different countries, allowing you to explore various topics based on your personal interests. At the University of Strasbourg, you can deepen your knowledge in accounting and finance, and what I particularly value is the chance to connect with experts and professionals from the fields of finance, economics, and business management.

The classes are well-structured and move at a comfortable pace, with instructors always willing to assist when needed. Some courses are taught by post-grads who are approachable and supportive. For projects, help was easy to find on the program’s Discord server, where many students are active. The workload includes a heavy focus on math, but you can also opt for physics, economics, or electronics.

Université Strasbourg is a welcoming institution that even though it’s not that public they’ve been resisting the norms when it comes to national tuition increase policies for public universities, keeping fees at an affordable now 150 euros for international students. Its outstanding faculty supports international students by permitting dictionary use during exams for those less fluent in French. The university offers clubs and specialized departments to assist international students, making it a top choice for foreigners. The campus is expansive and well-equipped, with free sports facilities and a large, comfortable library that creates an excellent study environment.

The university ensures a well-rounded learning experience, combining strong academic programs with top-tier facilities. The campus is spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with modern resources, including advanced laboratories and comprehensive libraries. The university also offers various student services and study spaces that create an ideal environment for learning. Whether in the classroom or in shared student spaces, there is always a sense of encouragement and collaboration. A great choice for anyone looking for quality education in a vibrant and engaging setting.

As I reflect on my initial year at Université de Strasbourg, I am struck by the wide range of classes and major options available. The faculty members in my program are dedicated to ensuring that students are well-informed and supported in their academic endeavors. Engaging with campus clubs and extracurricular activities has been enriching, providing opportunities to connect with a diverse and supportive community.

the first year is very very very general (the subjects are not very interesting) but from the second semester it becomes so since we get to “the heart of the matter” for each subject so it is more attractive.
you need to have a foundation in mathematics to understand the beginning.
regarding the infrastructure, the library is very beautiful (the most loved by students in lunistra!!)
on the other hand the chairs in the lecture halls are uncomfortable and the lecture halls are cold so bring coats haha

I am in the business School of Strasbourg, which is part of the university. It has been a great experience so far. Teachers are really supportive and willing to help. Course are available in French, Germen or English for the Bachelor degree. The school provides a solid education for hard and soft skills.
