I joined ESCP Master in Management program after completing another Master at Sciences Po. My objective was to diversify my knowledge and to acquire strong skills in Corporate Finance.
Needless to say, after 2 years spent in the ESCP MiM, my goals were more than met.
I had the opportunity to study on the London Campus and Paris Campus of ESCP, blending with students from dozens of nationalities and who were coming from pretty unique academic backgrounds.
During 3 semesters (out of a total of 4), I was able to choose specialization and elective courses to customize my academic journey according to my professional goal. Specifically, I chose specializations in Corporate Finance and Investment banking, taught by people with both impressive theoretical knowledge and hands on professional experience.
I also completed my second year of the program by doing an apprenticeship, which allowed me to acquire professional experience, completing the theoretical knowledge I was acquiring in my classes.
During those two years, I also got involved in ESCP’s student life by becoming a student ambassador as well as by joining student societies, which have brought me the joy of meeting new people and working on topics that motivate me.
Overall, my experience at ESCP has even exceeded my expectations, and I am more than glad that this is the university i chose among other ones.
View moreThe ESCP Master in Management is a great programme because there are students from all over the world. We get to go to different campuses like Berlin, London and Paris. The faculty is top-notch and we can do several specialisations.
I also like the flexibility of the courses you can choose and the gap semesters or gap year. You can take up to 4 gap semesters if you want to increase your work experience before you graduate.
Firstly, I would like to point out that I previously studied at ESSEC so this is my second major business school, and here is what I think about it:
The school regularly organizes events with partner companies, facilitating meetings with professionals and influential alumni. In addition, mandatory internships and consulting projects immerse us directly into the business world.
However, the program is intensive and requires a strong capacity to adapt, especially with the change of campus each semester. It can be both challenging and tiring, but the exposure to different cultures and business environments is invaluable.
But I was already used to this when I was at ESSEC.
– Very international school with diverse student base
– Valuable intercultural opportunities during visits at ESCPs various campuses
– Wide range of elective courses to chose from when “building your own degree”
Overall I am very satisfied of my choice.
It is a very international environment were you have the chance to travel, study in different countries (I studied in Madrid, London and Paris) and meet friends all over the world.
From the educational point of view, it is a very “practical” Master: few books, only a lot of case studies and group work. The concept is more like an MBA one.
I believe that also the brand is very strong: in my class majority of people was hired by the biggest consulting consulting groups, investment banking etc..
I really suggest this choice for a Master, but as a Bachelor maybe there is not enough theory and professors’ quality sometimes was not the best.
What makes ESCP Europe a great place to study is first of all international environment. With more then 50% of students being non-French it gives a unique opportunity to enjoy multicultural experience. Moreover, during courses there is a focus mostly on practice and cases, not only theory, which makes studies much more useful in terms of future professional life.
