Forward College is a truly unique experience. I’m a second year student living in Paris and I study Politics and International Relations, and I am working on a Sustainable Fashion entrepreneurial project with the Bachelor’s+ programme this year. Forward College is maaaany things but most of all it’s a personalised and highly diverse experience. Among my cohort of eighty something students I have friends from all over the world – mostly Europe but all continents really – who study different things and in different ways. From Data Science to Psychology, including Economics and Business majors, we constantly mix and match in our classes and often address topics with an interdisciplinary approach. Last year I was in Lisbon, one of the most beautiful and welcoming cities I’ve had the pleasure to live in (mind you I’ve lived in Milan, Amsterdam, Ljubljana and Paris, all stunning places). Now, here in Paris, I’m getting ready to take my UoL exams: our degree is issued by both Forward College and The University of London, with the latter taking care of the academic direction of the modules. While possibly a little long to explain to your grandma, this mix has always gained a wow reaction whenever I mentioned the LSE academic direction, together with living at CIUP in Paris, the three cities and the Business and Leadership entrepreneurial projects, and this richness and variety will be very valuable from an employability perspective. With last year’s exams, I obtained two Top Scored Awards from the EMFSS programme at LSE, and this could not have been possible without the support of truly top level faculty. It has been, so far, a time of incredible growth, exploration and intense exposure to stimuli. My world has, since joining Forward, grown a lot bigger. And there’s nothing like being supported through a challenge that helps you grow your confidence 🙂
