My experience in the program has been overall very positive and enriching, especially from an academic and personal growth perspective. The classes are engaging, and most of the coursework is project-based, which makes learning both practical and enjoyable. The first semester can be quite intense in terms of workload, but it also sets a strong foundation for the rest of the program.
One of the most valuable aspects for me has been the international exposure. Studying in different cities and working with classmates from diverse cultural backgrounds has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow significantly, both personally and professionally. This multicultural environment is truly one of the highlights of the program.
That said, there are a few areas where I believe improvements could be made. Organization and communication could be more streamlined, as there are moments when things feel unclear or last-minute. Additionally, while it is communicated that students do not get to choose their second-semester location, I would emphasize this even more clearly to manage expectations. Even though I initially felt disappointed not getting my preferred city, I ended up at Politecnico in Milan and had a very positive experience there, with strong courses and a great learning environment.
Another aspect that could be strengthened is career support. As an international student currently searching for internships, I feel that more personalized guidance and support from the careers team would be extremely beneficial. While there are resources available, the level of individual support is somewhat limited.
Overall, despite a few organizational and career support challenges, I have truly enjoyed the program so far. The academic experience, international exposure, and collaborative projects make it a unique and rewarding journey.
