École Centrale de Nantes was established in 1919 under the name of Institut Polytechnique de l’Ouest. In 1948, it became Ecole National Supérieure d’Ingénieurs. In 1991, it became Ecole Centrale de Nantes.They formed an alliance with Audencia Business School. It is ranked 6th out of 168 engineering schools in France. The school also accepts student exchange among engineering institutions in Europe.
