I did a master in geopolitics and international security. Globally I was rather frustrated. Keep in mind that the school implements changes every year.

First of all, there were no mid term exams, only class projects. Most of them were group presentations that required a certain level of integration. We were 17 and I usually ended left out and most teachers did nothing about it.
Secondly, they didn’t help much with finding an internship. So after the semester you are left alone and even if you find something, the contract cannot go beyond the 31st of August. In other words, the more you take to find an internship, the shorter it will be.
After handing your thesis, your life goes back to where it was, with no solid network outside of your teachers and that is the saddest part.

The good points were the absence of mid term exams and the fact that the internship is not mandatory – I must say it’s odd for a master degree. Other than that, the course focus on each region of the world, but with a specific angle sometimes. For example, not only we studied Africa as whole but we only studied the rebel groups. That was kind of a boomer.

So if you know where you are going right after that degree. It might work just fine for you.

The school has a very good teaching environment that is conducive for all teaching and learning to occur without hindrance and distraction
Also the school has a very comprehensive curriculum that contains what a student needs to excel in his or her desired cause

It’s a private school with a big campus, well equipped at the heart of Paris. The program is good and the teachers are fine. The law programme I’m studying is well ranked in France and opens up a lot of opportunities. Though, the international exchanges are not that great.
