Academics at HELBUS Helsinki School of Business
HELBUS offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in Business and Management awarded by the University of Northampton, which is a UK Higher Education Institution partnering with the School. It offers the Higher National Diploma, which is a 2-year qualification accredited by Pearson, as well.
All programs available at the School are delivered in English by lecturers with extensive teaching experience and expert knowledge in their field, 80% of whom have a doctorate degree. Teaching takes place in small class sizes in order to make sure that all students’ individual needs are met. Students are taught only one subject at a time for a period of three weeks, which allows them to explore every subject area in-depth and understand it fully.
The programs are designed in a way that encourages students to think globally. They develop students’ skills and knowledge in order to prepare them to pursue a successful career in international business. Students learn by being actively engaged in lessons, which allows them to improve their presentation and communication skills. On top of that, HELBUS aims to develop students’ practical skills, which are required by employers in the contemporary business field, as well as personal skills, including critical thinking, communication and problem-solving.
The School has established a number of partnerships with Higher Education Institutions around the world, which allows students to spend their third year studying abroad.
Student Life
HELBUS Student Core, which is the School’s Students’ Union, organizes many events throughout the year, such as Freshmen party and kick out party for graduating students. The HELBUS Student Core’s board consists of students and is elected by students annually. Participants earn activity points for their voluntary work and gain valuable experience of running an organization as well as receive cool prizes, such as HELBUS hoodies.
