Studying natural sciences at Addis Ababa University has been a fulfilling experience. The program has allowed me to explore diverse fields, from biology to environmental science, and apply my knowledge to local challenges. For example, I recently participated in a research project studying the impact of climate change on Ethiopia’s biodiversity, which was both eye-opening and inspiring. My ambition is to become an environmental scientist and contribute to sustainable development in my country. One challenge has been the limited access to advanced laboratory equipment, but the creativity and determination of my peers have taught me to find innovative solutions. I expected a rigorous academic environment, but the reality has been even more enriching—the sense of purpose and collaboration among students and faculty has made my time here truly meaningful.
