Studying Civil Engineering at Cairo University has been both challenging and rewarding. The program offers a strong academic foundation, particularly in structural analysis, soil mechanics, and concrete design. Professors are highly knowledgeable, many with impressive research backgrounds, and the curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured.

One of the highlights is the competitive environment, which pushes students to perform at their best. The university also has a long-standing reputation across the Middle East and Africa, which adds value to the degree.

However, the practical side of the program could be improved. Lab work and field training are present, but more hands-on projects and exposure to real-life engineering applications would greatly enhance the learning experience. The campus infrastructure is decent, but some facilities need modernization.

Overall, I would recommend Cairo University’s Civil Engineering program to students seeking a solid theoretical education in engineering, with the initiative to pursue additional experience outside the classroom.

It is a great university with a lot of resources, I liked that I was easily able to tap into any field I wanted to learn and the the ability to practice what I have learned practically but I disliked that some areas need to be updated.

Cairo university is one of the top universities in Egypt and if you’re a graduate of Cairo university you get good recognition. The curriculum was improved and it still need improvement to keep up with the updates around the world.
