From my experience at my faculty until I graduated in 2023, it was nothing short of extraordinary. The supportive environment I received from my professors, both academically and personally, helped me to boost my confidence in my abilities. As someone with social anxiety, my professors helped me to overcome it by encouraging me to engage more in their classes with my colleagues. They were the ones who shaped who I’m today! Additionally, various activities were organized, from bookfairs to writing competitions and other activities, which developed our communication skills. Besides, there were office hours during which our professors were available to help with the academic subjects or any issues we faced. Hence, I developed a passion for reading and writing which is something I wasn’t into before. And currently I’m working on my first fantasy novella which most probably will be published this year. There is nothing I didn’t like about it as everything there is really remarkable and I’d definitely recommend it to all students.

I’ve had all the support I needed especially in a hard major like engineering and architecture which I chose to specialize in. Most of the professors were nice and open to students who wanted to learn from their expertise. if there’s something I would change about the university, it would be installing routers and free Wi-Fi for students since there are some areas within faculty’s buildings and on the outdoor that lack signal for some reasons and it was frustrating to go down 4 stories to just get a signal and get updated with any changes for classes.
View moreMy experience at Ain Shams University, Faculty of Law, was overall good. The professors are knowledgeable and supportive, and I appreciated the variety of subjects offered. However, the administrative system can be slow and sometimes disorganized, which was frustrating. Despite these challenges, I believe the programme provides a solid foundation in law. I would recommend it to future students, especially those who are self-motivated and willing to put in the effort
View moreLearning Mechanical Engineering at Ain Shams University is indeed one of the toughest academic experiences one can have. The program is demanding, the workload is heavy, and the expectations are always high. From late lab and classroom nights to problem-solving difficult problems under pressing deadlines, students are consistently challenged to accomplish more than they ever believed they could.
Which is exactly what makes the experience so fulfilling.
The difficulty of the program is not a fault—it’s a strength. It toughens you up, hardens you, and makes you a very capable engineer. The professors don’t tolerate mediocrity; they challenge you to think, memorize the principles by heart, and apply them in the real world. You’re not memorizing theory—you’re learning to solve actual engineering problems, often under tight schedules.
Yes, the journey is tough. But when you graduate, you know that you’ve endured one of the best trainings a mechanical engineering student could receive in Egypt. It prepares you for industry and academe both, and gives you a very strong advantage in any competitive environment.
Ain Shams does not make it easy—but that is the idea. It makes you better.
View moreMost of the professors at Ain Shams University are truly exceptional. They genuinely care about providing a high-quality education and often go above and beyond to support their students. Their dedication and willingness to help make a big difference, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been taught by many of them.
The campus itself is beautiful—full of trees, flowers, and green spaces. You can tell the university puts real effort into maintaining a pleasant and inspiring environment. Very peaceful and relaxing.
That said, the classrooms could definitely use some improvements in terms of facilities and comfort. Another challenge is the large number of students, which can sometimes make it hard to get the individual attention you need.
While the majority of professors are wonderful, there are a few who unfortunately create a stressful and discouraging atmosphere. They come across as more concerned with authority than with actual teaching or student well-being. Thankfully, they are the exception, not the rule.
Overall, Ain Shams University has given me a strong and enriching academic experience, and I’m truly grateful for the inspiring educators I’ve had the chance to learn from.
