As an international student, I’d give this university a mixed but overall positive review. It’s home to a large and diverse community of students from abroad, but there’s still work to be done to ensure equality. For example, there are very few grants for non‑EU nationals, and even the merit scholarship criteria feel a bit unfair and unclear.
On the positive side, the professional experience you gain here is valuable, and the professors are generally helpful. The exams can be tough, but there are also opportunities for exchange programs. Campus life is lively, with plenty of social events each month.
All in all, it’s a good experience, but with room for improvement — I’d rate it 4 stars.

As the top graduate of Neapolis University, I believe it is my responsibility to provide honest and transparent feedback to prospective students and the academic community. This is my true experience.
Feedback from a university’s top graduate student provides a more reliable and insightful perspective than much of the feedback found on Google, especially of Erasmus students who were asked to leave five-star reviews. Notably, image illustrates that Neapolis University is ranked last on the “Trust Index” among the universities in Cyprus, a position that is supported by substantive reasons. Unfortunately, I can’t upload the photo of the Trust Index, as University staff are probably reporting the photo.
Under typical circumstances, as the top graduate of my university, I would be inclined to speak highly of my alma mater. However, my experience with Neapolis University compels me to take a different stance.
Academic Quality and Support:
While I excelled academically, I faced significant challenges due to inadequate support. For example, my initial thesis supervisor was largely unavailable, which led to undue stress and a medically documented leave of absence. Despite notifying the university of my ADHD and OCD diagnoses early in my studies, I did not receive the accommodations or understanding expected from a modern academic institution.
Transparency and Fairness:
I encountered concerning issues regarding transparency. For instance, the student guide—a key document for academic regulations—was discovered, through metadata analysis, to have been created mid-year and was not uploaded to be accessible even after the end of the year. This is called ’’backdating document’’ and it raises questions about procedural fairness, especially when such documents are used as proof to make critical decisions such as student honors. How legal is a ’’backdating document’’ when used as proof? I leave this to your google search.
I was unfairly punished me for my health condition. A health condition that was worsened from the distress of the irresponsibility of their own staff and professor/supervisor of the Thesis.
Distinctions:
Most universities in Cyprus offer high Distinctions for excellence, such as “Magna Cum Laude”, which is of high value for further studies and PhD. Neapolis is not offering these kind of high distinctions, but only the basic class honors.
Recognition and Further Studies:
Although I graduated as the top student, I was denied the title of Valedictorian based on what I believe to be an inaccurate interpretation of my academic record and unjust consideration of my medical leave. I feel I was enrolled under false pretenses, as this unjust decision was objecting to the promises and information before my enrolement. This experience has also affected my prospects for further study, as the value of my degree, even though as the top graduate student, received from Neapolis was not recognized by PhD programs of distinguished universities.
In Conclusion:
I urge prospective students to carefully consider their choice of institution, especially if they value transparent administration, no discrimination, equal treatment, and robust academic support. My experience suggests that Neapolis University has significant room for improvement in these areas, but I would not currently recommend it.
For those seeking more information or wishing to verify my claims, I am open to sharing my experience and further documentation as proof.
