When I first moved from my home country Nigeria,to Northern Cyprus for my education in Eastern Mediterranean university ; I expected a “culture Shock” but to my surprise I was met with a moderate level of it.
I blended in nicely and quickly too, the only thing that was an issue was the absence of my traditional palate, other than that the lecturers are nice and alot interactive with their students. The departments/ faculty buildings are up to standard too.
Now if you are a student hoping to attend school ,work and pay your fees then Northern Cyprus is not the place for you, because it’s still an economically developing state Under Turkey hence their being called
( Turkish republic of Northern Cyprus).
My advice would be only go there for school and, travel back home during the holidays if possible.
By the ways I studied public relations and advertising in the communications department, if that’s a course you would be studying you would absolutely love it there.
