Studying medicine at the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia has been a very meaningful experience for me. From the first semester, I felt like I was not only being trained as a future doctor, but also as a human being committed to communities. The UCC has a very strong social focus, and I love that because it’s not just about learning in a classroom, but about understanding the reality of the country and how we can contribute through our profession.

The classes are demanding, but the instructors are very friendly and always willing to help. The curriculum is comprehensive, and from the first semesters we have contact with patients, which makes the training much more practical and realistic. I also like that we have the opportunity to rotate through different healthcare institutions, which broadens our understanding of the system.

I study at the UCC’s Santa Marta campus, a university that trains professionals with a social sense of purpose and community commitment. Here, I have had the opportunity to grow both academically and personally, with the guidance of friendly professors and a practical approach that prepares me to contribute to the real needs of the region.

My life, Nuni, is an emotional roller coaster. My time at university has literally been a puzzle. At first, I embarked on two semesters of a degree that made me yawn. More than a Sunday afternoon, I literally immersed myself in a sea of mathematics typical of civil engineering, but surprise. Now that I’m on the verge of graduating with a degree in business administration, I can shout from the rooftops that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I discovered my true passion in the exciting world of administration, accounting, and finance. This journey has been an invaluable achievement. A university that has shaped me with human values, a social focus, and a commitment to the community. Here, I have acquired solid knowledge and experiences that have prepared me to practice with responsibility and empathy.
