What I like most about BLCU is its strong focus on language teaching and international communication. Whether you’re studying Chinese as a second language or diving into linguistics, the university provides a super immersive environment. You’re not just learning in class—you’re learning from the people around you, coming from all over the world.

I’d definitely recommend BLCU to anyone who wants to improve their language skills, experience authentic Chinese culture, and connect with a truly international student community. The campus vibe is inclusive, the teachers are experienced, and the academic resources (like the language labs and cultural workshops) are top-notch.

BLCU is hands down, the best university to apply for anything related with Chinese language and culture, the level is the highest in this. The university is located in the WUDAOKOU area, a very big student zone of Beijing. The only problem with BLCU is the dorms, they have a terrible quality, during my studies there I had to rent an apartment with my friends, because living with the dorm was impossible

One of the good decisions I made in life really! I made countless friends while simultaneously improving my Chinese. My teachers were patient and helpful. At the end, I left with an upper intermediate level of Chinese and lots of international friends.

BLCU is a great school if you are earnest in learning a language. If you want to just sit around and have the teacher teach you without much input from yourself its not the best schoolboy if you want to put in some effort it is a great place to learn a language. I learned all of my Chinese here and I am close to fluent now so I say it works just fine.
