Duoc UC (reviews)

The program is interesting and you can learn a lot if you really focus on it, but it has one major problem: Duoc offers a four-year program, while in the working world, many companies tend to require five-year Engineering degrees. A five-year degree is also required to sign off on structural calculations, so the program offered by Duoc falls behind in this regard, which puts graduates at a disadvantage.

This is something that is never mentioned during the program. It’s something I only realized after starting to work in my field, and it made me feel a little misled.

The program provides the basic resources needed to work in the Construction field. The Maipú campus is very nice and comfortable, the facilities are modern, the services are adequate, and the staff is helpful. However, this program lasts four years, so its employment opportunities are quite limited compared to Engineering programs that last five years.

overall it’s a good institute, I would 100% recommend, the teachers are amazing, the learning process was challenging but the teachers and directives made it so easy with the different subjects, the only thing I think needs a bit of change is the administrative area.
