IDSB06H3- Equity, ethics and Justice

This course was delivered partially online in the first half of the semester and then in-person in the second half of the semester. Firstly, this course has a lot of reading per week. Typically 2-4 readings consist of varying pages, normally 10-40 pages. As a native English speaker, I found the readings really hard as most of the vocabulary I have never heard of or learnt of before. That is one challenge that I had when trying to get through the readings. Getting the readings done is one thing, but understanding the reading is a whole other challenge. The last few weeks of this course were my favourite as we had ‘global classrooms’, where we got to hear the stories of people and the projects/works relating to the course. Some of these were inspiring and provided a bit of motivation in how this course is related to several aspects of life. The prof is very kind and tries his hardest to involve the students in each class. The only downside of this course was the online part. You had to maintain 100% focus throughout the classes. I and fellow classmates found that if we got distracted for 2 minutes then we would be completely lost.
