The university of Ottawa is great for it’s bilingualism. However, although most (if not all) required classes are offered in both French and English, a lot of elective courses are not, making it hard for French students to take full advantage of the variety of courses offered to the English student population. Also, many French classes are taught by English professors who don’t speak the language well, making it hard to learn the material. The university should prioritize hiring French professors.
