Great social environment but Challenging academics

The Vancouver Campus is very beautiful with lush greenery and lots of beautiful architecture. It is a large campus but most things are still within a walking distance, there are also a variety of restaurants and eateries dotted around campus if you ever need a snack. residence if you get it is pretty nice but that All depends on the building or room type , some are much better than others. Orchard Commons is one of the newest and best residences for first year , however some may argue the near by totem park offers a better community experience. I found people tended to be pretty Friendly and nice . Classes however at least in Engineering are quite challenging and it can be very difficult to adjust and make that transition from highschool… It is by no means an easy feat… But if you manage to get your bearing and find a good group of friends to help you through things you can make it through. Despite this challenging workload it is very important to make time for yourself and to socialize at least once in a while , as it can all become very overwhelming and you can get burnt out before you know it.
