Accessibility for International students

As an international student from Indonesia, I have always wanted to study in Canada. I did a lot of research on different Universities in Canada and I finally decide to go to the University of Alberta. My decision was mostly because of how cheap the cost of living was in Edmonton compared to other cities in Canada such as Vancouver and Toronto, it wasn’t because of anything specific about the university itself. But when I finally reach the university, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the university is making it to be for the international students that just arrived. They have an airport welcome team. They have their own orientation for international students with special counsellors that will help you in every step on your way to acclimate to a new country environment. They put a lot of effort into making sure that we transition to living in a different country very comfortably and I always appreciate that as a new student coming into a foreign country.
