View moreThe UC Drama Programme at the University of Toronto played a significant role in my personal development… these were my formative young adult years, and this program allowed me to explore the depth and breadth of myself in order to become an actor. I am forever grateful to this program for shaping me into the person I am today.
My classmates became my “family” as we learned, explored and grew together. I will be eternally grateful to Stephen Martineau who guided and mentored our growth as actors.
When we had our UC Playhouse reunion in 2018, it was like a family reunion. I was so proud of my colleagues, many who had made a significant name for themselves in the film, television and live performing arts world in Canada and abroad.
The program has most likely gone through many transformations, but I would wholeheartedly encourage any young people who may be considering a career path in the performing arts to seek out this programme.
View moreI do like the university a lot. They provide a safe, friendly, accommodating environments. And the school mates that I’m working/studying with are definitely the most fantastic people that I’ve ever met!
View moreOverall, I feel I did grow from my time at UofT. There were a lot of great instructors, particularly a lot of adjunct professors, who made a significant impact on me. Most of my qualms are with the administration and institution at UofT. There are a lot of decisions made that don’t seem to benefit either students or teachers, and there doesn’t seem to be much reasoning behind it.
The administrative decision that the school makes will inevitably somehow negatively impact your experience at the school. But the quality of education overall is high.
I can confidently say that my experience at this university has been outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how welcoming the community is. Everyone, from fellow students to faculty members, fosters an atmosphere of inclusivity and support.
The university offers countless opportunities to get involved, whether it’s through student organizations, internships, or collaborative research projects. No matter your interests, there’s always something to engage with and contribute to.
One of the standout features of this institution is its diverse community. It’s inspiring to meet people from various backgrounds and cultures, creating a vibrant and enriching campus life. This diversity also makes it easy to adapt, as there’s always a sense of belonging.
The professors and TAs here are truly remarkable. They are approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. Whether you’re struggling with coursework or seeking advice on professional growth, they’re eager to provide guidance and support.
Overall, this university has been an excellent place to learn, grow, and build lasting connections. It’s a place where everyone can thrive.
