It can be better.
Overall university academically is easy. It is the second to UBC and you can tell. The faculty is super helpful and nice but advising could be better. The resources can be made more accessible. Overall campus life is not that great. Most people are commuters and it’s hard to socialize when everyone just leaves. The clubs are great but very competitive. It takes most people to graduate 5 to 6 years when the degree should be for 4 years. What I like about Sfu is that the faculty is easy to reach out and the course load is all given before the courses start. The major problem is not enough campus involvement and the social life. This year there weren’t enough coop placements either which can be due to other factors but doesn’t help Sfu statistics.
