I transferred here from Dalhousie, half way through my Bachelor of Commerce degree. It is lightyears better at Saint Mary’s. The class sizes are smaller, you get to know your professors more, and the quality of education is much higher.

Professors are approachable and responsive, even during virtual learning, making it easy to connect for research discussions or course clarifications. The vibrant student body fosters a sense of belonging, and Halifax itself adds to the charm with its bustling boardwalks and cozy coffee shops perfect for study sessions. While the administration could improve its outdated class registration system, the staff is always helpful in resolving issues. For students seeking a smaller university with a strong sense of community, Saint Mary’s is an excellent choice
