My time at Trent University was overall a positive and memorable experience. The campus is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, scenic, and a great place to study and reflect. Living in residence was one of the highlights of my university journey. It gave me the chance to meet amazing people, and I made friendships there that will last a lifetime.
Academically, the professors and faculty were approachable and genuinely supportive when I needed help. Whether it was academic guidance or personal support, there was always someone willing to listen or lend a hand. There were also lots of opportunities to get involved on campus and grow both personally and professionally.
That said, there were a few areas where I think Trent could improve. As a joint major student, I often found class selection to be limited or poorly organized. It sometimes felt like students like me were overlooked when it came to course planning. More significantly, I feel that the transition out of university wasn’t well-supported. There wasn’t much help in terms of building connections, exploring career paths, or preparing for life after graduation. Even now, I still feel somewhat lost and disconnected from what comes next.
In summary, Trent gave me a strong foundation and some truly great memories. But I wish there had been more structure and guidance for students nearing the end of their degree, especially for those in less straightforward programs.
