I completed my MSc in Civil Engineering at Memorial University and had a very good experience. The professors were helpful and the program gave me strong practical knowledge. I would recommend it to future students.

Memorial University has given me a chance to pursue a degree that is out of my comfort zone. I have found a great community full of support and encouragement. As a Social/Cultural Studies major, my experience has been intellectually engaging and though-provoking. The program has offered a place for strong emphasis on critical thinking, social theory, and analyzing contemporary cultural issues which has helped me understand society and power structures on a deeper level. The campus life is welcoming, and there are opportunities to grow and engage in such as research programs, seminars, and student-led initiatives that compliments what we learn in class. Overall, I would recommend Memorial University to students interested in discussion-based learning and wants to strengthen their analytical and writing skills in a supportive academic environment.

It’s a very diverse university. I like the fact that they care for the students. I dislike the limited resources available for people in my program. People are friendly on campus and there are a lot of student life activities.
