I am studying at Laurentian, in one of their online program and I’ve been loving it! I love the freedom it gives me. It’s perfect to finish up the classes I have left while still being able to work full-time and focus on other priorities of mine. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is I find the way of teaching differs between teachers. I wish there was some standards or requirements. What I mean by that is in one of my classes I had to submit 1 to 2 assignments every week and do a lot of lectures. This ended up with me trying to teach myself quickly some terms that I didn’t completely understand. In another class, on the other hand, I had assignments every 3 weeks. I still had a lot of readings to do but the teacher also gave us videos of the lectures to make it easier for students to understand. Instead of rushing to try to learn all the content by myself, I had videos that explained the readings I was doing.

View moreI spent the four best years of my life at Laurentian University. The groups you join support the development of enduringly strong bonds between students and academic staff. I honestly believe that Laurentian University’s biggest feature is its people, not its beautiful campuses, outstanding faculty, or its wide range of academic programs.
View moreMy program at Laurentian University had good and knowledgeable professors. The community for international students was not qualified and I believe it could be better. LU is located in a very beautiful location in Sudbury.
View moreComing in as a new student, underage even, and starting in January, I didn’t get enough support from the counsellors, I registered my classes with the help of my roommate who didn’t even know much (bless her).
It was a struggle
